It is estimated that there are 500,000 Ex-Louisvillians living away from home somewhere on planet earth. Let’s roll out the red carpet and WELCOME THE EX-LOUIES HOME!

WELCOME HOME TO LOUISVILLE is a project designed to welcome home the estimated 500,000 Ex-Louisvillians currently living away from their hometown, Louisville, Kentucky. This uniquely Louisville project is being produced by The Louisville Company LLC with the goal of increasing the number of “Home Visits” by Ex-Louisvillians annually and ultimately to increase the number of Ex-Louisvillians who move back home to Louisville permanently. Increasing the number of yearly "Home Visits" will benefit Louisville businesses as Ex-Louisvillians and their friends and families enjoy themselves while they patronize our local businesses. As Ex-Louisvillians visit more often and stay in touch with Louisville’s progressive growth and development, it is our goal to encourage them to move back home and bring with them the education, training, skills and cultural world views they have developed during their time away from home. A very special and heart warming gift for Ex-Louisvillians has been created for welcoming them home.

The Welcome Home to Louisville Kit has been created as a special year-round gift for current Louisvillians to send to their friend and family Ex-Louisvillians. The Kit is designed to remind them of Louisville in numerous ways and to keep them in touch with Louisville’s events and festivals year round. The Kit includes a Welcome Home To Louisville t-shirt; a beautifully embroidered Welcome Home To Louisville patch on a “There’s No Place Like Home” lanyard; a 16 month year-at-a-glance calendar with a picture window image of the striking stained glass work entitled “History of the City of Louisville” on the front and on the back a full schedule of the major Louisville outdoor festivals and events for 2011; and lastly a sunglass/eyewear retainer imprinted with LOUISVILLE LOUISVILLE LOUISVILLE around its entirety.
